This chick kills me. The outfits she comes up with. I gave up trying to suggest clothing ensembles (matching is over-rated) and hairstyles (she can do her own ponytails, thanks).
Her non-conformity both inspires and frustrates me.
Everytime she comes downstairs "ready for preschool, mom!" with a little funk in her trunk, so to speak, I just have to smile and tell her "I love your outfit." This gives her joy.
I imagine what a strong/independent woman she will become. This gives me great joy.
Behold, the spunkification of America:

That last picture was the best! I wouldn't even know HOW to create that hairstyle if I were asked to. What a little character- you gotta love the independence and confidence, huh?
And THANK YOU for posting so that I don't open up your blog and find out AGAIN that Mexicans throw a mighty fine party. I had enough of that one and was ready and you came through just in the NICK. Still I am in love with the blouse though, fyi. TTFN.
oh and that first picture is priceless with her just cracking up, so real and candid. It made me laugh too. :)
What a cutie. So funny.
That girl has style! I love it.
Isn't it wonderfully frustrating when our kids just want to be themselves?! I have such a hard time with that, like when Kelly wants to wear a huge, fuzzy, green, top hat to school. But then again, I am so impressed with how confident they are and wish I had an ounce of their confidence. It's good to hear from you. Janet
well . . . she IS your child. :)
LOVE that girl! She has been a little scrapper since day one. And talk about style and personality...wow! Shows that she has been raised to feel very confident about herself- so congrats to you on being such a good mom!
is that ellison?
Love that girl!!
Oh, yes! I have a darling, non-conforming, self dresser as well. They are just too much fun!! ~Heather
I think it's great that she has a strong sense of herself at such a young age. She reminds me of Leah. Although Leah hasn't taken it upon herself to create her own hairstyles yet, even if she is frustrated with the same boring style I give her day after day after day.
Love the personality. You are right, she will be one independant/confident chick!
She is beautiful and spunky!!! I LOVE the pictures!
