I think you are setting a new trend in family photos. Be gone the era of the artificial smiles and unnatural poses! Bring on instead the realistic (chaotic) depictions of our lives!!! I love it. I hope you print the first one, frame it, and hang it in your living room! (Then blog about it.)

Family photos are among the most painful of my life's experiences. Behind the smiling faces and perfectly posed photos we see hanging on the walls of people's homes, there's got to be a story of chaos behind each one doesn't there? I love that you shared the process of your family photo with us...it made me laugh!

I love it! KEEPIN' IT REAL!!!! You guys are such a good looking family. Jackson, getting all long and lean, Caroline growing up and looking all mature and pretty, Ellison, just cute and can't believe she is that old. And your baby Charlotte, ...what?!?! And then there is YOU. Looking so good!!, and Marc...all dapper and handsome. We seriously need to swing into AZ someday soon. Miss you guys!

I think it's great! I love the reality of these pictures, especially the flip flops. :)

You know, the comments are true. My family's perfectly posed photos always bring up memories of the threats I was giving to my kids if they didn't smile, and my gritting teeth as I was attempting to keep a toddler from throwing themselves off my lap. This should be the new trend!!

I love them anyway! Sometimes the crazy ones are better than the ones of all of them smiling. I like the last one and I think the third one up from the bottom.

Pahahaha!!!! FANTASTICLY good time...I'm all for the posed, pretty smile, (perfectly focused, puh-lease) photos, but I gotta tell ya, my friend...all the pics that you posted here are the ones that made me die laughing while I was editing away. I'm with you Fletch...the new trend should totally be the natural chaos of a photo shoot...it's much more FUN!!! Thanks for posting these...!!
