History made. First African-American President. Prop 8 passed. Prop 102 passed. These marriage issues are obviously far from over, but at least for today traditional marriage is protected from being radically redefined by unelected judges.
Beautiful First Family. Did I vote for Obama? Nope. Do I have immense hope for the future? Absolutely. Do I think he's probably a good man/husband/father? From what little I know, yes. Did I sleep wonderfully after he gave his jaw-droppingly inspirational speech?
That's an affirmative.
Now we just wait and see which of his rhetorical lullabies will be translated into real policy.
Doom and gloom? No thanks.

I was SUPER impressed with McCain's speech too. (not so much the hecklers in his crowd)
Both men have a lot of class. It was an inspiring process, no matter which side you were on.
Makes me proud to me an American!
I like the lullaby analogy. Let's hope none of those socialist lullabies get translated into law. We get lulled to sleep, and then wake up with a nightmare economy. I guess that's not so different from now. The point is, socialist policies got us into the current mess, and it would be unwise to drift further left in trying to clean it up.

I'm with you on the doom and gloom thing. I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to cast my vote. Even though I would have preferred a different outcome I, too, still have hope for the future.
Be supportive and lots of hope for the future- I'm so ok with that. Let's just pray that he's got some integrity and that he has some true interest in doing the right thing. Hard to know these days-
