Yep, it was swell...

NYC was magnifico. Really mind-boggling freedom and fun. Captivated by the eclectic pulse of the City. Great to be home, but I'm feeling a titch guilty as I'm thinking right now "Man, I wish I were back in NYC just for one more night..." I did miss the fam like crazy, let there be no mistake, and it was divine loving on my kids and seeing their eyes again.
Loved our little boutique (and affordable) hotel, right by Central Park, recommended by my cuz B. Weather a little dismal, as we were a bit water-logged for a couple of days, and about froze our chawangas off the last day with the wind. Posting a few photos now and will add some later--gotta go to bed and recover from my sweet vacation. Isn't that always ironic? McSuperman handled the kidlets with aplomb, although after I got home, he retreated to the bedroom and wasn't to be seen near or around the common areas of the house for 5-6 hours. I feel your exhaustion, McHadIt.

WICKED was just that--w.i.c.k.e.d. I'd seen it in Chicago a couple of times, but this time, we got to meet Elphaba, Glinda, the Wizard, Nessarose, the very handsome Fiyero (my sisters and nieces were going crazy for this guy) and some monkey dude outside the stage door. HELLO!! I almost for to mention that I saw my boyfriend Dan Abrams (of MSNBC fame) near Rockefeller Plaza. This I'm sure of because I yelled out "DAN!" and he turned around and stared at me. Before summoning security. Susan swore she saw Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa). My decade long crush on Dan came to a screeching halt after I noted that he is about 5'1. I mean, I could probably bench press the dude. Moving on.

Oh, how sad...that guy with the 2 different shoes. :(
Glad you had fun- the pictures were cool and makes me want to go shopping, but it doesn't make me want to hail a cab. Soooo glad you had fun.

How fun. :) That police officer looks thrilled to have you taking his picture. Did he want to confiscate (sp?) your camera after that?

Since I only started the book Wiked it sure does make me wonder what the "musical" is like...hmmm...have you read the book? It was recommended to me by my brother and I refuse to say if I like it or not, might tell too much about my character:-)

Karen? Elise. Becky's sister. I just read a comment on her blog from you and just f.y.i. if you want music on your own blog go to playlist.com. I just did it tonight myself. Create your list and post it to your blog. It's fun! Then people can rock out to YOUR favorites! :)

Karen-
How amazingly fun your trip to NYC sounded.
I've never been there, but would love to go. You've got to tell us where ya'll stayed- exactly. So if I ever do get to go there- I'll book myself a little reservation there.
Everything sounded so fun. The best, though, was not having kids (well- young kids) there to have to deal with.
Don't get me wrong- I love my boys! But trying to site see with small kids who bore easily- FUN RUINER!
Thanks for sharing and making me completely jealous.
1 month and 27 days till Rob's home. :)
