caroline's room.
the happiest room in the house.
thanks to my wildly talented decorator friend cami wright.
[of the wright family dynasty].
some days i fling myself onto Caroline's bed and just lay there,
lingering in aqua blue bliss.
lingering in aqua blue bliss.
We (only me, actually) wanted to incorporate Caroline's great-grandma Stoker's chair in the room. McSlightlyHorrified found one of grandma's old knee-high stockings between the cushions.
He's over it now.

um really???? That has to be the cutest room I have ever seen! i am in love with the cool artsy canvases, the curtains and the mirror. And,...I think you have just motivated me to get a little help around here! Caroline is one lucky little girl- where do you go from there?!?! Oh and what a perfect idea about the chair. You are creative.
Kaelee and I have been drooling over Carolines room since we first laid eyes on it... we may just have to have that beautiful color!!! What an incredible place to just be yourself!
seriously? that is DARLING! so fun. so bright. so happy. i love the "shapes" wall with all the different patterns!
Karen, I love it! Did you get that little Chinese lion, tiger or whatever it is (with the ball) from HomeGoods? I bought 2 for CC's playroom. How funny! The room is soooo fun!
Very cute! I want pictures of the other girls room!
LOve at first sight. Ummm...what an amazing place to just be!
That is an amazingly cool room!! I absolutely love it! I'm totally laughing about the knee-high stocking. Very funny. It is a beautiful room. Congratulations Caroline!
Love it! I remember seeing all the cute fabric and have been WAITING forever to see the finished results. Way cute!
And really, I need to get out. Let's go out to dinner.
Sooo cute! Does your friend ever visit Florida?!
AMAZING! You did a tremendous job. I love love love the wall of rectangles. Beautiful!
To die for!! I love it. So glad that you shared it. Post some of the little girls pad soon. xoxo
Holy cow! Come work on my house! What an awesome room. I am not going to let my girls see this post or I will never hear the end of it. So, so darling!
I love it! Wow!! I will have to remember that when Daria wants her room redone. Beautiful! and I think I would feel happy in that room too. Great colors.
The "After" photos look like they could be in a magazine! So fun.
What a transformation! I love it and I bet Caroline is in love with it too. What a lucky girl. You'd have a hard time getting me to come out of that room for school, dinner, or anything else. I need to keep my eyes open for a decorator friend (although I suspect you had quite a bit to do with the success of that room as well).
LOVE IT! I am trying to figure out what to do with Zach's room and my room and my whole middle level of my house. So fun!
Super cute. I need your decorator friend, please send her to Iowa!
That room is the best and most adorable room I have seen in a while. Thanks for the ideas.
OMG I love it! I have to go look at it again!!
Gorgeous!
I absolutely LOVE it!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
It looks so cute! I love the way it turned out, we make a pretty good team I guess? I'm dying to get going on some more decorating projects. I've had enough down time and now I need some creative time. I'll call you soon and we can get started on the next room. I already have a few ideas on hand.
Love all the comments. Thanks everyone, I am available for hire
{after Karen is done with me of course!}
kisses
Soooo cute! Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors... Good thing you're not my neighbor!
Holy Crap! That room is gorgeous! Can I move into it? But I must know - did you guys buy all of those canvases or make them? Hmm, I love it!
Karen,
That room is "HGTV" worthy!!!
I love the color palette, it is gorgeous! Love all of it, super talented duo!!
WOW!!! I love it. Did you all cover the canvases yourselves?
S Rizzle (SaraH): No I did NOT cover the canvases myself. It took my delightful friend Cami only 12 hours to perfectly cut and cover all of those canvases with the fabric that I picked out (mostly Amy Butler fabric but some some Heather Bailey thrown in there and some cheap fabric store fabric too). Canvases at Michaels or Hobby Lobby at 60% percent off make this much more palatable, I learned. ;)
