First off, AWESOME talking to you tonight. Second, you are going to have a lot of people asking about how he broke is foot/ankle so you should have posted it, and THIRD, ...I didn't know he had glasses- so cute. Poor Jackson- have him bring a sharpie to school. Remember the days that everyone signed casts?

That looks like a serious break! I am so sorry!

good call Bekz--he was at a birthday party and slam dunking the basketball and he held onto the rim (it was lowered) and pulled the whole pole/backboard/hoop over onto his ankle on the concrete which broke his knobby ankle bones on either side of his foot (lateral and medial malleolus).

He's a trooper but this sedentary no sports lifestyle is like a personal prison for him. Only 6 1/2 weeks left!

Egads! That is a real bummer for Jackson. Did I tell you Clint's 7 year old broke his arm playing football recently. The same sports restrictions ... not a happy camper.

OMG. That stinks. Bring on the guilt free video games. Poor Babe. ~H

P.S. Love, love, love the girls' room! I've hit a wall with my girls' room. I'm totally mourning the loss of their babyhood and not feeling quite ready for a "big" girl room. So instead it's stuck in this horrible in-between stage. Gross. That's what it is. But, after seeing the "retro-peach" room I'm feeling braver. I have to let them grow up after all! Home Goods - here I come!

I loved the basketball cushions you got for his crutches. Jackson informed me today that they were not "cool" like I said they were. But it was certainly and improvement on Marc's attempt to duck-tape on towells. Love you and love Jackson!

Aww, poor gimpy kid.

At least it's not the middle of summer. Oh wait. Where you live, it's ALWAYS summer, right?

Also, the posts on your girls' rooms were the funnest ever. Love your blog!

Crud! What a bummer. That does sound like torture for him (and probably you too)! Dalton is going to be in awe of it over Thanksgiving...it's my kid's dream come true. Part of the lure may be in having unlimited computer game time. :) I hope that he's doing OK and that it heals well- that awesome athlete!

Hey Karen,

Me again. Steve found your son's baptism certificate in the clerk's office last week. Apparently, they never gave it to you. If you could possibly email me your address at jennfletch@gmail.com I will mail it to you. Thanks!
