happy ending

Marc hinted that he thought it was slightly unhealthy the way I was obsessed with baby Bronson's story. Actually he outright said it. What I explained to him was that every mother who read this story is deeply impacted by it because we have all taken unnecessary risks with our children and NOT had a tragic outcome. We could somehow relate to this mother, and her subsequent guilt for leaving her children in the bathtub to go get pjs for another child (or whatever we've chosen to do instead).

Miraculously, this ending was a happy, albeit unlikely one. Read here for the follow-up story. Can't find the appropriate words to type that express how relieved I am for this mother.

I cried when I saw the video of the little guy doing "Do as I'm doing." What a miracle. I can't even believe it.

I totally cried when I read her blog. I totally related. How could I not? Luckily she was on the 10 o-clock news that night and I got to see Bronson healthy and well.

as i said on your other post, i too was rocked by this story. and as you said, unfortunately, far too many mothers could have been this mom. i know i am guilty of that. i have told so many people this family's story today. because it's a wake up call to all moms that we have to be actively aware of possible hazards. whether it be in the tub, talking/texting/doing make up while driving, un-child proof cabinets, etc.
thank you, karen. thank you for bringing this story to my eyes. i am forever grateful for this.

I have been a mess since reading through Sara's posts and realizing how easily that could be me. Easily. So. Very. Easily. Thank heavens little Bronson is gonna be OK. And thanks for tuning us in to this family's story. What a reminder to be ever diligent with out kiddies. They are so fragile.

yes, i was following it too from rachelle's blog. what an amazing story.

and yes, anthony urges me not to get hooked to other people's business. he doesn't enjoy comforting my tears when he doesn't even know where they came from! ha

Oh, Karen! I have read every word of her blog. I have gone through a box of Kleenex and I now have a huge headache from crying. What a story! I am so glad it ended good. I have a little brother who drowned and I now have a better insight to what my mother went through. I will be giving my kids big hugs when I wake them in the morning! Thanks for reminding us how precious life really is.

To get a second chance like that- what a true miracle! I read and watched along with you, ...I was so happy to see the prayers being answered the way they were hoping for. Sometimes Heavenly Father gives us what we want- what we beg for.
