Maybe Just One More Drama...

Last week. Slight nausea. 14 hours of wretching. GI tract Spring Cleaning? Wishing for speedy death. Desperation. Begging for trip to ER. Total dehydration. Two bags of IV fluids. One bag I.V. Zofran. One bag I.V. Phenergan. Blessed sleep. Blessed relief. Slept 15 hours straight. McLifesaver somehow kept kids at bay downstairs.

Insisted upon flying to Temple,Texas w/ Marc for Radiology Reunion despite frail condition. With Zofran pills. Convalescing in hotel room with no kids VS. staying home alone without Marc dealing with Summer Break Craziness/Boredom? Come on.

Saw old buds in TX. Waxed nostalgic. [Szymanskis, Hiedenreichs, Vicky, Jodi, Gerrards, Atwoods, Collingwoods, Cases, Dollars, Crisps, Watkins, Cantrells, Sonniers, etc.]

Finally witnessed the bats on Congress Bridge in Austin. Great food. Cheeves. Inn on the Creek in Salado. A little exercise. Much sleep. Lots of water. Mom inheriting Celestial Kingdom for watching my kids. While two of them threw up all over everything. Love her. Tough cookie.
In-laws? Once again splendid with kiddos. indebted.

In Austin.

Oh!!! The memories! Thanks for including the picture of our house. I notice they put a new garage door on with those lame windows. hmmm. And vicki's hair? What? You look great- cute shirt. You sure don't look like the big 40 is right upon you, Karen. (don't know what 40 is supposed to look like, but sure as heck not that!) So glad you aren't sick anymore and that you got to go anyhow! Loved eating at that bed and breakfast place. It was worth every penny, huh? Thanks for sharing. Fun days.

I heard you were in town...would of crashed the party if I had felt up to driving around Texas. Jamie's been doing most of the driving. I'm going in for my c-section tomorrow. You really need to check out my blog, you wouldn't recognize me! I'M HUGE. I have to say that watching via the blog how you've trained and gotten so "healthy" gives me hope. No, I doubt I'll ever run a marathon myself but I know I'LL NEVER BE THIS BIG AGAIN = I'M MAKING THAT PROMISE TO MYSELF HERE AND NOW!!!! It's good to hear what Vicki's up too (via Jodi) and I like the shirt too!

Michele: I would if your blog weren't private! good luck on that c-section...

oh, plus I didn't run a marathon--NEVER would do that--it's 26 miles and I'm not cut out for that--it was just a little bit of swimming, biking, and running less than 3 miles. Hey--if I can do it...you know the rest.

I am glad you are feeling better! When I was pregnant with baby #4 I learned to really appreciate Zofran. GOOD STUFF!!

Karen, I was jealous that you got to see everyone in Temple. I wish I was there. I'm still trying to figure out how I can visit Temple but it is a 5 hour drive one way. That just doesn't sound too fun and will take a lot of planning. I can't believe Vicky's hair - I got to call her. You look great and your kids are beautiful and getting too big. Time sure does fly. I'm so glad we can keep in touch. Love ya! By the way, Rachel was so excited to get your comment. Thanks for that. :)

What is Vicki doing these days besides shaving? Wow! I guess people grow up, but I now realize just how long it has been since I've been to Temple. Should we organize a reunion or something? I want to go back with y'all and do that get together we did at Emily Stratford's house. Remember when we snacked and shared and stayed up past bedtimes. . .Oh, the therapy!! Karen, I love and miss YOU! (ha! said it before you did! :-) )
